Cardiff Bay & Waterfront - 9th September 2008

A party of 25 members and wives enjoyed a visit to Cardiff Waterfront recently, courtesy of Cardiff Bay Tours.

After coffee at the Norwegian Church, we embarked on a tour of the Waterfront area, taking in the striking new developments and some now 'historic' port authority buildings.

We then proceeded to the Barrage where we were able to see the opening of the lock gates and some maintainance work on the massive sluices.

After lunch at the waterfront, we boarded a luxurious launch for a cruise of the bay and a brief excursion up the river Ely.

It was altogether a most interesting and relaxing day.
