Terry Knibb, Chairman 2011-12

Our Chairman for 2011-12 was Terry Knibb.

Educated at the Imperial College of Science and Technology, Terry's career has covered posts of Assistant Director & Director of major corporate laboratories, including the former Hirst Research Centre of the General Electric Co. in Wembley and British Aerospace's Sowerby Research Centre at Filton. He retired from his last post of Chief Scientist for BAE Systems in 2006, but is continuing some involvement with the industry and Brussels.

Terry moved to Bristol in 1988, being joined by his family in 1989. He has been married to Jenny since 1968 and they have 2 grown-up children, Giles and Alexander. Giles lives in Putney, London and constructed the Club's website. (He also trained Terry to maintain it!) Alex lives in Bristol and works at Bristol University.

Terry's hobbies are old camera collecting and foreign travel.
