Dartington Glass & Rosemoor - 7th June 2011

On Tuesday 7th JUNE 2011 the Club visited the Dartington Crystal Works and the RHS Rosemoor Garden, both in Great Torrington, N. Devon. (This was a joint event with BRUNEL Probus Club)

At the Dartington factory, we saw the hand-crafting of high quality crytal glass items, and had the opportunity for some 'retail therapy' in their shop.

We then proceeded to the nearby RHS Garden Rosemoor, where we were very impressed by the variety and quality of the flora, especially the roses.

Despite many of our members being keen gardners, all were 'bowled over' by the sights and smells of the ranks of roses of all types.

Overall, it was voted a most enjoyable day, and grateful thanks were given to Keith Denning for his organisation.
